swaybar combo question.
currently on my car is 01 civic front sway bar(25.4mm) and rear rsx-s (19mm). and the rear goes out when i take hard turns on on-ramps.
i was wondering if anyone has 01 civic front sway (25.4mm) w/ rsx-r (22mm)...how does it feel? does it feel neutral? any inputs would be awesome.

I'm not a suspension guru like ZZyzz i think his name is but I'm pretty sure you will oversteer MORE with the 22mm compared to the 19mm rear sway. Also, how fast are you taking turns? My rear goes out too when I push it hard and I'm on 15.9mm front and 17mm rear sway.
Civic_Racer9 are you lifting off the gas through the turn or braking when you turn in? Either one of those usually make the back end want to step out.
zzyxz or something lol well he told me if you daily drive and don't want body roll, then the best combo is 25mm front and 19mm rear, so thats what i did which i will be getting 25mm front today or tomorrow. can't wait!!

i swapped out the front swaybar however for a Progress 27mm. this made the car more neutral again, but stiffer all around.
I find my rear can kick out a bit with my 15 mm front 19mm rear combo. I'm thinking about stiffening the front with a thicker bar. Might trade with someone on the site here. My wife's 01 corolla has the rear kick out so easy. I swear it has no sway bars (never checked). Never was able to find any either.

Its a balance. You gotta match it with the springs. If you're oversteering with a 19, definitely don't go out and get a 22. I'd leave it, or drop down to an Si 17mm bar.
Stiffer springs will probably necessitate a stiffer sway bar to keep up. Plain ol' lowering springs don't need the big'uns.

I have an ES civic with an EP3 type r suspension 22mm front sway bar and 22mm rear sway bar from DC5. it over steer a little bit but negligble. I'll be testing my set up this coming Decemebr at a Racing Circiut.

i use the progress sway and tie bar all-around. its pretty stiff with the KYB AGX on stiff too. i can take all on/off ramps at 50+ mph. plus on top of my tires i have, make a great difference too! but i have more understeer than oversteer

Yeah i agree with some of the others. You should mention what kind of tires you have as well. If you have crappy tires, that is probably the reason your back is breaking lose more then sway bars.
For handling, the 16mm front and 19mm rear is the best from the setups i went through. 25mm 19mm is the best for DD. its the combo i went with. Even with the 25mm 19mm setup, I could up to 65mph at a 45 to 60 degree angle before i feel the back coming loose.

1st off, when in the turn is the car starting to oversteer and what as a driver are you doing when it happens? such as are you on the trottle, on the brake ect ect ect...
Other wise you've got a couple of choices here, 1st thing I'd try would be to tweak my dampers, assuming you have adjustible dampers. Try stiffining the front and or softening the rear.
If you dont have adjustible dampers, and are looking to spend some $$$ on yoru suspension, pick up a set of Konis, Tokico d-spec or one of the other adjustible dampers. they are well worth it as a good set of dampers are paramount to makeing your car handle its best.
From there I'd check your alignment and optimize it. or if you are unable or unwilling to get adjustible dampers, go straight to your alignment. For a car thats oversteering I'd be looking to increase the static negitive camber on the rear and or reduce the static negitive camber on the nose. Also, check to make sure that you have no toe out on the back of the car, as that will cause oversteer. you may want to add a touch of toe in to help stablize the car (toe in on the back).
after that, then i'd start looking to alter my anti-roll bar rates. and in this instance you have two choices. either stiffin the front bar, or weaken the rear bar.
have fun and happy tuning.
