Suspension Nightmare, Wtf?
Suspension Nightmare, Wtf?
So I have on 02 EX. We went to put my new springs on tonight. Front drivers spring goes on with no problem. Now the back of the car is a different story. We couldnt get the bottom bolt off the rear strut. How the hell do those things come off there? We seriously tried everything. Im at the point where I dont even want to lower it anymore

wow hahahahaha this is like deja vu, here check this thread out, me and another member had the EXACT same problem as you http://www.7thgencivic.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=260375
yeah, that one was a bitch. try a little lube and get a mallot. have a buddy trying to force it out with a mallot by banging it and use another jack to lift it up a little to give it push room.
im kinda glad we couldnt get the pick springs on in a way cause we had one sportline on the front and it sat a little low for my liking, so now i can switch out for the pro kit. something sounds loose or like its wobbling on my front drivers side now though. it drives fine, i just hear some noise

I had the same problem... that rear bolt is a bitch. Mine seized and it took me forever to get it out (several times with a breaker bar, impact gun, breaker bar again and several cans of liquid wrench finally did the trick).
Note ... when and if you finally get it out... go buy some anti-seize and cake the bolt in that **** before you put it back in... that way it doesn't sezie on you next time you go to take it off.

if you guys follow the DIY on that, it says to simply to push the bolt out from the other end while unscrewing it. its easy. getting it back in is much more difficult because you have to pretty much stand on the brake to get that thing to fit in there.
