Winter is coming... Should I ?
Hi everybody and thanks in advance for your inputs... This is going to be my 2nd winter with my civic. Last winter my 03 ex coupe was stock and this year it has a lip kit on it but I do want to lower it very badly and get wheels for it but in Buffalo, ny the snow comes down pretty hard on some days and I don't know if "I Should" wait until after winter to drop the car ? Or would I just go ahead and drop it ? I've heard 50/50 that some people have real bad experiences with winter and some who just go through it fine... I guess it depends on how you handle it and where you live and how low you are? Btw I'm thinking about neuspeed sports 1.75/1.5.
Someone please help me ><

Agreed. I was dropped about 2" last winter and I live in Canada....yes it gets mighty snowy here at times. I basically plowed my city streets for free. Just be careful about where you drive and how low you actually drop.
god damn! finally peep from buffalo....other than me and dezod..
ur from buffalo??? UB?? looks like south campus from ur pictures...
hm....drop and snow = no good...maybe just need to be really careful with the snow's depth..
u know, my bro's 00 SI w/o drop....and just front lip got stock in those stupid snow...
now, a bit of question from me....brand new falken ziex-512 + snow, good or bad? maybe i should wait for my new set of wheels for next spring?

Get coilovers. With the amount of snow you guys get in buffalo and the road conditions DO NOT drive with neuspeed sports in the winter.
In Toronto we have a fair amount of snow but we are still not in the snow belt. Plus our roads are much better than buffalo.
How do I know? I have neuspeed sports and drive to buffalo all the time from toronto.

I would get coilovers but money is tight at the moment, probably I'll just save for coilovers so I'll just fly through this winter working ><
Or maybe I can do what mugenman is doing and do it after winter if I do get springs now

If they are new Falken Ziex you should be fine. I drove with that tires in toronto last winter.

I dont have to deal with snow anymore now that i live in sunny phoenix arizona! I can keep my wheels on my car and the car dropped 24/7 and not have to worry about that nasty snow with pot holes hidden underneath, or the salt on the roads to eat away your paint and rust your car!
I used to live in South Dakota so I got plenty of snow daily!! Sorry to you guys that still gotta deal with it. This is the perfect time of year here right now. Come december were still in 50's and 60's during the day and 30's and 40's at night
good luck with old man winter.
