Front koni insert is going out

Yeah, not even a year have I had these. I had them set to half a turn stiff (sometimes a full turn) and decided to put it down to a 1/4 turn. Then some oil came out. I'm pissed and I know its the shock oil, I know what it looks like and feels like. Light clear brown color. I got these in May of last year just after returning from Operation Iraqi Freedom, so I know it hasn't been a year yet. I'm going to contact koni and we'll see how this goes...wonder if they will cover it. I'm not sure how this works out.

you can see to the right of the top of the strut where the oil is.

Then some on my finger, not a lot, but enough to scare me

Crap. I'm sure they'll cover it. I think there was a bad batch of o-rings I read about on clubrsx.com, maybe yours are part of that batch. Let us know what happens... thx

koni is aware of this issue on early production shocks and it has been corrected.

Just contact Koni for warranty at warranty@koni-na.com or 859-586-4100 and they can get it taken care of. They will ask you for a copy of your purchase receipt and registration to validate the warranty so you might want to have them ready.

actually they told me that since it didn't keep coming out that I should keep them, the only way I get it replaced is if it continually comes out...kind of stupid imo. So everytime I adjust it, some comes out, but since it is pooring out, it doesn't get replaced. Later down the line, I'm getting something els other than koni, I'm quite dissappointed.
