rear rotors for Acura 1.7EL, 2001, can be swapped with rotors from the Civic Si, 2001 or 2002?
The guy at the parts store (in the US, where I have my Canadian made 1.7EL) told me that the Civic Si 2001 uses drums in the rear, not rotors, so, now I am a bit unsure how to buy parts for my Acura 1.7EL.
Any help you can give me is greatly appreciated.
Happy new year.

There is no 2001 Civic SI in the states. The Canadian SI is the exact same as the US EX. 2002-2005 US Civic SI is the last hatchback sold in the states.
If they're 4 lug wheels you need 2002-2003 US SI rotors (number 6): http://www.hondapartscheap.com/index...E%20%28DISK%29
If they're 5 lug you need 2004-2005 US SI rotors (number 44): http://www.hondapartscheap.com/index...E%20%28DISK%29

if u have a canadian 2001 acura EL, you can use the same rotors as the US honda civic SI 02-03. (they never made a US model honda civic SI in 2001)
our 2001-2005 US honda civic EX/LX/DX/VP use rear drums

we are supposing that yer from canada, right?
Acura EL is kinda a civic with facelift and some mechanical differences. I do believe suspensionwise it was very similar.

Hi,
I purchased the rear roters and pads from an auto shop for the US honda civic SI 02-03, as suggested, and it worked perfectly!!
You and Lazlong saved me over $200
Thanks a lot!!

you need the whole knuckle assembly, rotos, calipers, pads, rear brake lines, rear e-brake lines...etc (from either a 02-03 civic si or the canadian acura EL)
here is the conversion on the same car (my car)
