The things I’d like to do!
The things I’d like to do!
So honestly I don’t where to start and I just need opinions because I feel like a lot of people have done things to their civics and I’m just starting out. Literally the only thing I’ve done so far was take out the halogens and replace them with Fahren LED’s. However there’s much more that I want to do. One of the main things I’ve been wondering though is. I honestly hate the stock p185’s on my car and I want some new wheels preferably not skinny’s and something like 215. Does anybody know what I’d have to do to get to that point of putting wheels with that width on the civ. If I was even able to do that because I’ve been hearing people tell me I’ll have to roll the fenders and then more and that it’s probably not safe to go more than a 2 inch upgrade on wheels and all this.
Re: The things I’d like to do!
You can put 215/45R17 easily without any other modifications (besides aftermarket wheels). In my opinion it looks a bit silly if you're still at stock ride height but they still fit.

check other memberss setup on member's rides section. Or the wheels/brakes modification section.
Since you posted in the root 7th generation section, I can surmise you have not searched or browsed at all before asking...
Alternatively, go to Tires Rack or similar site and check what wheels fit your car - obviously they have way more experience on fitting.
7th gen cars have been around for 20 years (older than you
), plenty of information if you get to browse

alright well I’ve looked and watched reviews and I think I wanna save up for Strada Perfetto’s for rims. Then for wheels I’m thinking about going with Continental EXTREMECONTAC DWS06’s. It’s like $1,108.71 in total but I think it’s something I’d want to invest into.
Re: The things I’d like to do!
I believe it said those wheels would be +35 mm offset so honestly would that make much a difference?

Alrighty thank you. I think 225 would be too big for the wheel base anyways so yea but well i'll look into those wheels etc.. If I ever do decide to drop the money on them i'll send pictures.

215/45-17 on 17x7 et42 rims fit with zero issues on my 2002, and I was lowered about 2". Maybe slight fender well lining rub on the inner shoulder at full steering wheel stop, but any rubbing sounds went away after about a month with my fender well linings still 100% in tact. If you click the "azumi" link in my sig, I have pics there (the link next to "her baby blues")
You'll wanna stick to offsets in the et35-44 range
