Air conditiong blowing hot air
Air conditiong blowing hot air
I own a 2007 Honda civic si 2 door, I recharged the a/c system just this morning, but its still blowing out hot air. I can see the clutch engage but shuts off and on intermittently every couple seconds, any ideas on what it could be and how to fix it? Thanks in advance.
Re: Air conditiong blowing hot air
connected charge hose through the low port, had a/c on high with the circulation on. About a week ago i noticed not so cold air coming out so I just thought it needed to be recharged, something I did notice was that when I started charging the system, the ar started doing this hiccuping thing and drop rpms everytime the compressor clutch engaged
Re: Air conditiong blowing hot air
The compressor kicks on, but I notice the clutch engages and disengages like every 2 seconds, can it be the compressor clutch thats bad? And can it be fixed without having to buy a new a/c compressor?
Re: Air conditiong blowing hot air
It's more likely that the pressure is too low/high. Like mentioned, a proper set of gauges would be helpful. Parts stores usually have a set as a loaner tool.
Re: Air conditiong blowing hot air
Thanks for all the advice guys, I work at an rv dealership and had one of the techs looks at my car today, turns out I did in fact over fill the a/c system, luckily nothing was damaged, even though i was careful probably not going to diy that again.
