2016 EX-L. My air conditioner crapped out two years ago and it was replaced under the service campaign. This past summer i started having problems again. It would not get cold. I figured it was the same problem. Local dealer wanted to charge me $300 to diagnosis. I decided to blow it off and live with it since winter was coming anyway. fast forward to now. It seems like my heat is acting up now too. No matter the temperature setting, I am getting hot air coming out of the vents. When I put the driver and passenger on different temps, the same air is coming out (hot).

Now I am thinking its not an isolated air conditioner problem. Is there some sort of thermostat that went bad? I either get super hot air (when the heat is one) or moderately cool air (when the air conditioner is on). There is no median.

take to a second set of eyes and get their diagnosis
come back with results (you can choose to do at later date or reject work) diagnosis fees could be less outside the dealer but might not be accurate

My point was that I didn't want to pay $300 to have them diagnosis the air conditioner when it may not be that at all. Just curious if someone out there had a similar issue or know of a solution

About the only other thing I can think is the blend door is jammed or broken.
