So I took my car in to the Honda dealership and they replaced my AC Compressor and drier. Within 13 miles, my passenger side upper stabilizer bar come loose, bolt was gone and it was just swinging free.
Prior to taking it in, there was no sign of noise that goes with a loose stabilizer bar, popping etc. I would think they wouldn't need to take the tire off to replace the comp but I was unsure about the drier.
Where is the dryer located on a 2013 SI? I am waiting for the dealership to call me back, I am sure they will claim no responsibility. Thanks for the info. John
Hey. The upper stabilizer bar was not stripped, the bolt was just missing. I spoke to the dealership this morning. They have taken responsibility for the loose stabilizer bar and replace the tire as well for free. Guess someone forgot to reconnect it while working on my AC.
Thanks for the responses.
Picked the care up today. The dealership installed new stabilizer bar and a new tire for free. Apparently they did take the tire off to install the compressor and just didn't tighten the bolt on the stabilizer.
Now i get some belt squeaking, belt looks good will have to look into that now.
I replaced the belt tensioner, idler pully and the belt today. Will see if that solves the squealing issue. I did notice that the arrow on the new tensioner was still right at the edge of the marking. Not sure if this matters as long as the squealing stops.
That is a picture with everything installed (belt tensioner, idler pully and the new belt) under load. Its an auto tensioner so there is no adjusting it manually, the pic show where the arrow landed once everything was installed. I did just have the AC Compressor replaced by the dealership a little over a week ago as well. I assume the arrow should be in that square section when under load, if I was to take tension like i was going to remove the belt the arrow moves into that area.
