I sometimes use big channel-locks to hold the plate still

No pullers.

Remove center nut (or bolt) and hub slides right out by hand.

Shims vary, numbers and thicknesses. How many are in there depends on what was needed during the original clutch gap setup to obtain the desired gap.
Most have one or two, some might have none.

Re: 2005 honda civic dx ac compressor

You can zip it apart but reassemble by hand. Torque is low, like maybe 13 ft-lb for the nut.

You don't want to pull the trigger on the air gun and snap the compressor shaft off.

Re: 2005 honda civic dx ac compressor

its all fixed .. i taught i let you know.. there was one shim.. i took it out.. put it back .. reameasured air gap, it was within tolerance.. i got working ac , blowing cold ready for the summer... i should have measured that first instead chasing wires.. the one wire that was exposed made me think it was wiring issue.. but i did at least isolate that now too..
