2003 Civic hybrid post repair issue [solved]
2003 Civic hybrid post repair issue [solved]
Hey! I have an issue that cropped up after changing the valve cover gasket and spark plugs on my 2003 Honda Civic and would much appreciate some advice.
Once we put everything back together and reattached the negative terminal on the battery, 3 lights began rapidly flickering on the dash. We took the terminal loose and then put it back on and the flickering did not return. I put the key in the ignition and attempted to start it. It did not start. Additionally, the light flickering returned and I could not turn the key back to neutral to remove it until we pulled the negative terminal again. We repeated the sequence a few more times, checked electoral connectors that we had disconnected to do the repair, always getting the same result.
Any help with this issue would be appreciated!

glad you found the issue.
for OBD readers, please make sure you get one that can read honda specific codes - not all readers can do that
you have an option to get one of those "dongles" that stick to the OBD and connects to your smart phone (that will allow you to monitor and record data, you can even reset codes while driving - if you have a phone holder, don't get too distracted while driving!!!). Use the app torque to connect - you can find them in Amazon. The WIFI ones screwed my phone WIFI, I prefer bluetooth
BAFX BT? Is what i chose
