I had the typical plugged AT filter problem that these transmissions seem to encounter which leaves you on the side of the road with no way of moving the car under it's own power. I tore out the transmission and put in new o-rings and clutch plates (friction and steels). Put it all back together and now I'm having at issue specifically with 2nd gear. First gear gets the car moving no problem. Revs to close to 4 kRPM before attempting to shift to 2nd, shutters and slips in 2nd gear until a quick change to 3rd no problem, runs fine in 3rd and fourth. No "check engine" codes. I've replaced the shift solenoid and TCC solenoid (I think that's what it's called), checked the linear solenoids on the bench - they seem to engage fine. I did not replace the torque converter but I would expect a problem in all gears if that had gone bad. I feel like I'm so close to having this thing running fine but I can't figure out this last issue. Any suggestions?
