I'm stumped [solved]
I'm stumped [solved]
So I had the clutch replaced on my civic 2 or 3 months ago and it's been fine since then until yesterday. My wife took it it to the store and she was at a red light when she heard a pop as she went to pull out. Then there was no power to the wheels. I towed it home and I can start it up and while its running, without having the clutch pedal pressed, I can freely put it into any gear with no issues but when it's in 2nd gear the speedometer reads 15 mph, 3rd gear - 25mph, 4th gear - 35 mph, & 5th gear - 45mph. But the car is sitting still the whole time and never even acts like any power is being transferred to the wheels. Any ideas? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
re: I'm stumped [solved]
That's exactly what it would explain. There's no power getting to one wheel on an open diff car. The VSS measures transmission speed in certain gears, so it'll work even while stationary.
