help guys i'm stumped

Alright here's my situation........im pretty knowledgeable in the whole installation process of everything and i told my buddy i'd install and head unit for him......and i've installed many a head unit before so i figured no problem........so first i look and i see that someone who installed his subs prior to me seeing his car wired them some weird azz way to his rear speakers so im like whatever.......(o by the way its a 2000 civic SI that im installing in)......so i pull the stock hu... solder all my connections between the wiring harness and go to plug in his new pioneer to check to see if it works and i get nothing......no power no turn on nothing....so i figure ok maybe i messed something up....so i went back to check it again i did it again......nothing.......so at this point im stumped...so i take off the wiring harness from the factory connector and put the stock hu back in to see if it is my wiring.....and i get nothing from the stock hu which was working prior to me getting in his car at all..........so at this point the only thing that comes to mind is that i blew a fuse.....cuase there is no other reason why i wouldnt be getting power........so i check all the usual fuses in the fuse box under the steering column and under the hood and i see nothing that seems to be blown.....this is wehre i got frusterated and started looking for anything.....and i couldnt find anything .......if you guys have any clue lemme know please.....thanks and sorry for the long post....

Have you metered for power at the fuse to see if you are at least getting power there?

KaZeLL will become famous soon enough
plug in the aftermarket addapter, take a test light and see if your getting anything from the leds, dont use the ground wire from the addapter but rather the chasy...if there is no power comming from the the acc or constant then you know that your problem is from the leds back... you could have pinched the stock wireing when you installed the head unit or the other place might have...

take that test light and test the from the fuse side now...if you have power from there then you know its from the fuse side forward and that proves the point of the pinched wire...now u just have to find where the wire is damaged and how far back it is...

do the same for the for all 3..... ground, acc, and constant .....if its not the fuse then it has to be the wires...

my guess is fuse(s) unless you burned out wiring. Check them CLOSELY - even if a fuse doesn't "look" burnt out it might be. I'd replace them just to make sure.

Check a fuse labeled Backup, I believe 6thgens have this fuse as well as the 7thgens. It can be located under the hood. Also, he will lose keyless entry unless you keep the OEM radio wired up and stuffed back in the dash somewhere.
