running issues stumped and no-one seems to know [solved]

2001 civic a2 engine

I start car from cold run it to hot drive 30min no problem runs like it always had

shut it off for hour and start it it runs for a couple minutes then goes into a "limp" mode it doesn't have a miss but doesn't have power and wont hardly idle

i can shut it off and 10 to 15 minutes later it drives fine again

during that time fuel pressure is same and proper

i pulled o2 sensor out and it ran same

I cleaned egr same

changed throttle assembly which included 4 sensors idle air throttle position sensor and 2 more same running

compression all same and good

swapped all 4 coils from running car same running issues

I changed cam position sensor

Have you tried swapping in a known properly functioning ECU?
Any CEL codes?

These might help

Re: running issues stumped and no-one seems to know [solved]

faulty or fried ECU's are usually caused by loose alternator bolts, check all of them holding it to the engine
