Hi, I bought a 97 civic coupe ex last Friday, it had this weird noise that sounds like it's coming from near the transmission but we cannot tell ehat it is that's causing it, we noticed the flex plate/torque converter access cover was missing but nothing looks bent or anything, any ideas, I'll send more videos in an hour or so. We doubt it's engine cause I drove it home 2 hours and when car warms up it only seems to do it when you step on Gas from idle, car also kinda vibrates more.

BTW the sounds are specifically coming from that access for the flex plate. But every looks normal it's just making clunks

Check all the torque converter bolts are there and tight

we did and they are all looking fine, we honestly can't tell why it makes the noise, could be someone tried to change it and put wrong one on or something but I honestly can't tell, although one of them broke off so idk if that could be it or not

Take it to a shop if you can't figure it out
