1999 honda civic ex knocking noise and turns off

1999 honda civic ex knocking noise and turns off
1999 honda civic ex coupe , 182724 miles.
When i turn my car on it makes this loud knocking or clicking noise. It also happens when i accelerate. This started happening today anf then the car just turns off. It idles low or no acceleration with the loud knocking noise then it turns off. Before this months ago i was hit on my driver door side by my wheel and since then my car would sometimes idle low make a click noise (way different from the loud knocking) then jump back up then down till it went back to normal idle. When this happened my heat would turn on n off making a hissing noise eventually it would stop and go back to normal. This loud knocking and turning off is new. Their is oil in the car. I do have a oil drop but the dipstick shows oil above both hole markers. Coolant is fine. Car isnt to hot. Can i get a list of ideas on what it may be so i can get a mechanic on it please. Thank you.

Does the knocking sound follow engine RPM (i.e. does the knocking get faster as engine RPM goes up)?
