Replacing suspension front and rear question...
Replacing suspension front and rear question...
Looking to replace front and rear suspension in my 98 ex - don’t want to go crazy on price - but seems like most places want to sell 1 piece at a time - I would like to get a full kit so it’s all there and done at the same time - so-
what do I need to replace ? Where should I look for parts? And should I replace the steering arms also?

Re: Replacing suspension front and rear question...
I think the biggest bang is the shocks/springs replacement and YES replace the control arms, those absorb a lot of vibration. Changing those made my car feel like new again. No annoying wobble or looseness in the steering. Very easy to do, especially if you are doing the shocks and springs anyway.
I'm a low cost person and only doing practical changes to my Civic. I went with the RockAuto Monroe QuickStruts so I just had to swap the whole thing, and that also took care of all the little other things like bushings on the top, making it a very fast install. Once the old ones were removed, switching in the new control arms (which I think were Beck) was another 15 minutes each on the front sides.
I've put 10,000 miles on the new setup and it's great.
