Never made one of these before so here goes nothin. I race a 99 civic on a 3/8 mile dirt track. Last race i don’t remember hitting the wall with the *** end of the car but something is bent in the suspension and I’ve been looking for over a month and still can’t figure it out. I had the wheel set all the way to be toed out. And after the race it was bent in over an inch. Further inspection showed it didn’t slide the toe adjustment back in and didn’t bend the bar on the front of the trailing arm either. The upper was not bent, neither was the lower. Trailing arm didn’t look bent but wasn’t forsure if it bent behind the hub. Changed the trailing arm and it’s still bent, toed it over an inch. The trailing arm bushing was torn on the old trailing arm and the used one I put on but was like that before it got bent. Can’t even pry it back straight with a 4ft bar. All the mounting locations on the body are straight and not bent whatsoever. Here why I wanna get this going so bad. My dad and I race in the same class together, unfortunately he has cancer and undergoing chemo an says he can’t race next year. So I’d like to get in the last 2 races with him this year while he can. If anyone knows or has any info please let me know. Thanks guys.
The hub spins true but I’m not sure how else to check it. Bearing seems fine. And what’s the chances that both these trailing arms are bent at the hub almost the same amount?
