Power loss/hesitation P1362 code [solved]

I have a 2000 Honda Civic EX Manual trans and its had a weird stumble hesitation while accelerating (usually around 3k rpm) and feels really weak going up hills. Got a code reader and came up with just a P1362 code and from what I have read the sensor it refers to is built into the distributor, so I bought a new distributor and the issue didnt change and the code came back. When I bought the car there was some sus wiring and I discovered that a remote start was put in but had been disconnected. Is there somewhere in the wiring I should check that might be compromised and cause the sensor to throw that code? or can something not related to the distributor throw that code?

Multiple sources confirm the part numbers to be the same, so they won't be different.

To elaborate more on what Colin's saying, Honda's are notorious for not cooperating with aftermarket electronics. Sensors, alternators, distributors, you name it. That's why he's suggesting you get OEM. They're guaranteed to work.

Well I bought a OEM dizzy, installed and cleared the codes and the code came back as soon as I turned the engine over. I think I might bite the bullet and replace the engine harness. I know the previous owner hacked into stuff to install a remote start and a little red led by the cluster. So who knows what else he did. There is electrical tape on almost all the wires going to the dizzy plug, and some electrical tape on some wires right where the harness clips into the ECU.

What ended up being the issue? I have a 2000 GX with similar issues. Very very weak going up hills. High fuel consumption, and several codes including misfires

yours sounds like it might be a clogged catalytic converter. I put a test pipe in mine and got some power back cause my cat was clogged, but my CEL issue ended up being a bad ECU. I got a matching used ECU and my TDC engine codes went away.

you could be right. I've heard an exhaust rattle back there. Just wouldn't have thought with a CNG vehicle, the cat would clog even being as old as it it. Going to investigate that and check feed on some sensors.
