Cylinder Head Replacement For P1361/P1362 Code
Cylinder Head Replacement For P1361/P1362 Code
New to the forum, glad to see 155 people accessing the 7th Gen Civic info as I type this.
I am looking to do a cylinder head swap (per TSB 01-083), as I have subject MIL codes, and changing the TDC sensor did not help.
In order to source my cylinder head, I need a "cast number". I didn't want to tear the car apart until I had the parts in hand, but need to know where to locate this number for the order. Please be as specific as possible to its location, as I am new to Civics.
Thanks!

Re: Cylinder Head Replacement For P1361/P1362 Code
Found it. For anyone wondering, stamped into the head directly above the exhaust manifold. In my case "PLC-8" (or maybe 3, it isn't all that clear). From what the vendor said, its the PLC that matters, not so much the number.
I will be tearing the motor down, and photographing everything to create a DIY cylinder head swap tutorial to post. While I'm at it I'm doing the timing belt and water pump as well.
I did cheat a little though, as the replacement cylinder head I ordered already has the valves installed (remanufactured).
