Secondary 02 sensor has 24volts ? Wtf
I unplug the secondary 02 sensor on my 05 ex and it says 24 volts?? I hook it up and now I have a high voltage bank 1 sensor 2 check engine light code. Not sure why it has such high voltage. No breaks in the wires that I can see. I'm not gonna replace the sensor just to fry the new one if 24v can damage it. I thought it should have been 12v.
Re: Secondary 02 sensor has 24volts ? Wtf
You sure you are reading the voltage correctly? That is way too high. Should be around 0.3 V to 1 V. Check for poor connections or loose terminals at sensor and PCM. Check for an open in the wires between sensor and PCM. As a last resort, the PCM may be faulty.
