First time on the forums. I'm from Canada and I recently bought a used Honda civic 2015, a month later I ended up with this terrible scrap on the passenger side of the car.
I was wondering how would I fix this issue? and what tools would I need (within a budget). Also can this be repaired to almost as good as new? Or would I need to replace bumper?
The Paint color is "NH578 Taffeta White Factory H"
Best you could do on a budget is put a small layer of body filler, sand like hell and then prime/paint. Won't look perfect but it'll look better. I'm not sure I'd even bother - no one will notice as-is and it isn't going to get any worse.
Thanks for the suggestion! I still want to fix it as I just got the car last month...
Would I really need to get body filler on it? If its not a big deal would just sanding a little and painting be good enough?
Also do you know a good guide on doing this kind of thing I'm very new to car repairs. I have a basic understanding but not very advanced.
You’d be squaring off a round portion of the bumper, but I suppose you don’t need to. You’re better off just painting over it than squaring it off. If you want it looking presentable, use some form of filler.
Lots of YouTube videos can show you what you’re looking for.
