Let me try this again since the original message was not included. I have a deep scratch in front bumper down to black plastic. Auto body shop wants $500 to repair. Anyone have DYI suggestions? Paint type? Clear coat?

Buy a stock bumper that is already painted...You could get one from a member on the board for alot less....and then just install it....Very easy to do. Post in the marketplace saying you are looking for a stock bumper in your factory color....Im sure someone will get back to you....Or look on Ebay....or you can also look around at other body shops...$500 seems about the right place to fix, repaint and blend a bumper though.
