2006 MK8 Windows and doors stopped working
Hello all, hoping someone can help me save my 06 Civic. The problems started a while ago:
Driver side door (RHS) stopped opening and the alarm and central locking was all wonky. I've changed the door actuator and it's now working properly.
A few weeks afterwards, the boot stopped working and then slowly all the other doors and windows stopped working.
Fast forward a few months, the boot works and the passenger rear door works (but not the window) without me doing anything to it.
However, the front passenger door and rear driver side door don't open (not their windows).
On the driver door, the window control unit shows no lights on the other 3 windows and they cannot be opened.
I need to open these doors or fox them somehow as the car will not pass an MOT in its current state. Any help is appreciated, please.
The locking latches on the stuck doors are floppy.
Fuses seem to be fine and there is power coming to the connector on the driver's door

Re: 2006 MK8 Windows and doors stopped working
At a glance of your thread title, I was going to suggest the window regulator. However, after reading your entire post, I'm inclined to think that the body control module is the culprit, since the BCM controls things like windows, locks, etc. I don't have much experience in that respect. Hopefully someone with more knowledge on that can chime in.
I'm not going to go out and say grab a new one and hope for the best because it's not a cheap component.

Re: 2006 MK8 Windows and doors stopped working
does the buttons on the doors other than drivers' work? like windows?
If so, the wiring at the door hinges is damaged from open/closing the door

No, the buttons on the driver's door don't do anything. Not even the lights turn on. Only the driver's side door window works.
