hey, first of all, I know this is a Civic site, but I don't know of any good Accord forums off the top of my head. Second, I hope this is the right forum, I would've posted in Vehicle Issues/Problems but the description said 7th gen Civic stuff only, but anyways, on with the question....

My gf's friend has an 87 Accord with 80,xxx miles. After driving for about 30 min, her engine dies, as if it runs outa gas. She was telling this all to me over the phone, so I wasnt there to try to diagnose the problem. She was worried that it was either the Engine or Tranny, but I explained that a bad tranny would only cause gear slippage, and the engine would just be dead, like it'd either run or it wouldnt. The only educated guess I could give her was that it was a bad fuel pump. I know it's a stab in the dark, but do any of you have any clue what it might possibly be?

The problem is the mechanic her mom makes her take her car to f*cks everyone over... I suggested the Honda dealer, but who knows what they'll do... I just at least wanted to give her an idea of what it might be.

If no one here knows what it could be, could somebody gimme a link to an Accord site or somethin? Thanks a bunch for ANY help
