This may sound dumb, but what octane gas are you using?

I have been told by reputable car people that if you use a significantly higher octane fuel than is required for your ride, you will get this smell due to how efficiently the gas is being burned. You have just thrown that theory out the window, and instead of answering your question, I myself am on the quest for the same knowledge.

*edit* I am such a dumbass for not asking this - did the problem start when you switched to Sunoco? I use it in my EL all the time with no rotten egg smell, but it could very well be a higher sulphur content in the gas itself too.

aznsmtboy is on a distinguished road
if it smells like Maple Syrup, it's probably radiator fluid
