04 civic revving extemely high!
I have an 04 civic 5 speed standard. Upon leaving for work this morning everything seemed fine. About 10 minutes later when gearing down in traffic I noticed the car seemed to be revving high with the clutch engaged. As I pulled into the parking lot I notice that the car is redlining with the clutch in or with the shifter in neutral. Gas pedal moves freely. I haven't noticed anything of the sort in the past. Can this simply be a stuck throttle plate? Or can a vaccuum leak cause such a consistent problem (it does not change/it isnt interrmittient), it simply goes striaght to redline. Please help! Thanks!

pop the hood and see if the throttle is jammed open, try tapping the iac with a screwdriver handle (or something similar)

Something is holding the throttle open? Cable issues or otherwise?
Stock, I've seen one where mice chewed through the air filter...and had loaded up the large air box with dog food....Guess what happens when you rev it up LOL
CAI installed (and tubing fell apart in places), I saw this one had swallowed some gravel off the road, covered in tar, and lodged in the throttle blade holding it open a quarter inch or so.
