Rep Power: 0 Key stuck between 0 and I, stuck in Park. Can't remove the key
I have a '03 Civic LX. Recently my key was becoming a pain in the butt to turn, I would have to slowly pressure it to turn as I inserted the key into the ignition.
Last night, when I turned the car off, the key got stuck just between 0 and I and now it's stuck there (even though it jiggles) I jiggled it for hours and I can't turn it to 0.
I tried removing the battery after reading on here that it might be something electrical but it didn't do it.
Basically:
- Key stuck between 0 and 1
- Can't change gears, firmly stuck in P
- Wheel is not locked and I can turn it quite a bit and it doesn't lock
- Made sure I jiggled the gear shift to make sure it doesn't think it's not at P (although this might be the case)
Can anyone help?

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

First thoughts
Interlock issue, solenoid and lever isn't allowing cylinder to rotate
Or
tumbler issue, lock cylinder needs rebuilt.
