Key stuck between 0 and I, stuck in Park. Can't remove the key I have a '03 Civic LX. Recently my key was becoming a pain in the butt to turn, I would have to slowly pressure it to turn as I inserted the key into the ignition. Last night, when I turned the car off, the key got stuck just between 0 and I and now it's stuck there (even though it jiggles) I jiggled it for hours and I can't turn it to 0. I tried removing the battery after reading on here that it might be something electrical but it didn't do it. Basically: - Key stuck between 0 and 1 - Can't change gears, firmly stuck in P - Wheel is not locked and I can turn it quite a bit and it doesn't lock - Made sure I jiggled the gear shift to make sure it doesn't think it's not at P (although this might be the case) Can anyone help? |
Re: Key stuck between 0 and I, stuck in Park. Can't remove the key can you turn it the other way and start the engine again? then turn the steering wheel and try to remove it? |
Re: Key stuck between 0 and I, stuck in Park. Can't remove the key First thoughts Interlock issue, solenoid and lever isn't allowing cylinder to rotate Or tumbler issue, lock cylinder needs rebuilt. |
