Re: TEIN BASIC question

ya could be LCAs bushing, i remember my rears blew shortly after i got my coilovers. my car sounded like it had machine guns or something.

and btw i set my driver side to be a little higher than my passenger side because of the weight of the engine and my body. ur not gonna get perfect balance but its better than nothing

It's gonna take some tweaking to get the height just right. I had to readjust mine so many times, I had to go in for 3 alignments before I was satisfied. I don't think it will stop the noise. Remember that when you're adjusting the height, the shock body is the only part that goes up or down, so if anything is still loose, it will continue to remain loose.

And kcari's question regarding benefits of a shortened dampening stroke, there are none, other than a smaller, more pronounced bounce during bumps and more thread for your coilovers to be lowered on.

Have you tried setting the preload tighter yet?

Re: TEIN BASIC question

i think if i set a tighter preload then the height of the car will be higher and one side will be higher too unless i raise the other side as well. I got coilovers to lower the car and better handling than stock. i think im going to take it out and reinstall it again and see wat happens
