Rep Power: 0 New Cruise Control Issue???
While on my way home from the store tonight, I set my cruise control. Approximately a second later there was a click from under the hood and it kicked in. That worried me, so I turned it off, only for it to make the same sound when I turned it off. The sound is not coming from the buttons on the wheel, but sound like they are coming from the cowl section of the car.
If I recall, the cruise lever mechanism is directly next to the throttle, like in front of it. There is a gap between the two, about a 1/4 inch. I notice that when I have someone rev the motor, the throttle moves before hitting the cruise lever. Isn't there not supposed to be a gap between the two??? and if so, is there a way to tighten it to eliminate the gap???
Like so: (Sorry for poor diagram, but can't post pics yet.

Rep Power: 0 you could try the adjusting nut on the throttle body. Take off the airbox from the throttle body and you should see a nut and you loosen the nut and the threaded rod. Its kinda hard to explain, I think there is a DIY around here. That click may be a relay, I have the wiring diagram but I just woke up. And that 1/4" might be ok because if I remember correctly on the double pull part on the throttle body there is a little bit of play.
