There are some DIYs that talk about this, but basically you have to just work your fingers under the edge of the trim and yank on it. The trim piece is held in with clips. It helps if you have Lee Press On Nails. All I can say is that you have to pull a heck of a lot harder than you would imagine. One word of caution as you start yanking...try to distribute the pulling power a little. If you pull all in one spot you can start tweaking the trim piece.
Its easier than it sounds...go for it!!

i figured out that theres a screw in the cruise control.
i can take the top half off, but the bottom part seems to be struck with something, i cant find a screw, and i dont wanna yank it out just incase there really is a screw in there. please help.
also, i still dont know how to take out those three buttons on the center console.
if you know any of these. please email me or reply. thanks a lot.

the center piece w/ the a/c controls. Follow the DIY for taking out the stock hu. Once you get the center piece out, there are two screws at the bottom on the back below the hu console that need to be removed to take out the piece w/ the 3 switches. If you're replacing the color, the covers will pop off w/ a flat tip screw drive, then there are plastic orange pieces under them that need to be pried out w/ something fine like a nail file.

No Problem. I still haven't figured out the other controls, but if you figure it out, let us all know.
