tacheon is on a distinguished road
The brake warning light does much more than tell you if your parking brake is up. It tells you when there is a fault in your brake system (caused by a number of situations). It can be caused by a failed master cylinder, leaking brake system, faulty sender at the master cylinder, faulty parking brake switch.

If it is low don't add fluid. If the mileage is 40-60 k miles you may need new pads. When the pads are replaced the fluid level will return to near normal, If you add fluid it will need to have some removed before the new pads are installed. If the pads are o.k. and the fluid is low, you may have a leak.

All easy stuff to check.

Is the fluid low ??

At 9k for it to be low enough for the light to come on you would have to have a leak.

You should let Honda fix it.
