Chrome Strip Removal - HOW???

You know the chrome strips that are on the nose of the hood and just above your license plate? Well, I hate chrome and I want to remove those dang things. But I have no idea what is under them. Are there holes? Or are they stuck on with sticky? I only have a 2001 so I think I could buff out whatever paint differences are there. I just don't know what it will look like, and if there are holes, I am definitely not going to do it until I am ready for a repaint.

there is one small clip in the center and two small studs on each side, there are holes. If you want a matched body paint color one go to www,handaaccessories.com go to accessories for our civic and years- if not put bondo over it but a lot like that will get a lil unstable much later down the road...
