automatic trans question

sorry to be a bother, but i have never owned a automatic before. my wifes transmission fruid needs to be changed and so does the filter. i was wonderin if somebody would be willing to tell me how to go about doin this. i'd appreciate it!

If it's a new civic, there is no filter. Just a bolt that you remove with a socket wrench and drain the fluid. Then refill with honda atf from the top hole. There a DIY on this site showing pictures and everything if you search for it.

The Owners manual states how to do it. Basically your drain and refill it three times, driving it between refills. Then drain and refill one more time. No filter change is mentioned in the manual.
