I tried starting my car the other day, and it wouldn't go. I got a lot of clicking/ dash lights flickering, i didnt hear the starter try to turnover. I tried to jump it, connected it for ~20min, nothing improved, still the same issue. today i tried to start it up again, lights were flickering but i could her the starter try to turn over, then stop and the lights continued flickering. I'm thinking it may be the starter. the original battery was replaced maybe 2 or 3 years ago.

I’d first check that the battery terminals are tight. It doesn’t sound like it’s getting a good connection.

also measure battery voltage.
my batteries last 2 years

check if no wires chewed by rodents (it's common during winter, warm engine bay is perfect for nests...)
