The other night all the warning lights came on my 2002 civic (including the SRS) when I was driving. The car kept going and the lights went out shortly and so I was able to park the car. Now the engine won’t turn over. I tried boosting the battery, but nothing happened except for the starter making some clicking sounds. The car headlights seem OK, so I suspect that the battery is fine (I am away from home and have no instruments here). Any ideas what could be happening here? Thanks…..

my car does this alot. my starter went out then a mechanic did a bad job, my parents wouldnt let me do it. so now i have to push and pop the clutch alot.

Im sorry to say but a started that doesnt always start is not the mechanics fault, but probably a faulty wire going to the starter.

If all your starter is doing is clicking and your battery is actually good then your starter is done.. Have you tried to jump start the car or is that what you meant by boosting it?

The fact that all the lights came on points toward the battery, i would pull it and have it tested then move on to other things..
