I was hoping someone can help me as Honda can not seem to find the right (TDC) cam position sensor for my 07 Civic (bought it at an auction). I have been to the junkyard to look at heads from the same year and same motor but the sensor itself in that motor looks the same, same 3 pins but the configuration of the slots on the sides are in different spots and the clip part that secures it to the harness is skinnier than the one Honda is ordering. When I checked the listings on Rockauto the picture and part # are the same as the one from Honda. Could this be a crate motor from Japan with a different style wiring harness and sensor? Someone mentioned that to me.

check your engine code.
it's stamped in a square in the bottom where the engine mates tot he trans.
previous owner could have dropped different engine there

Did you remove the sensor yourself? That looks like the crankshaft position sensor.
