The engine block is stamped H14 and then under it ZC and then
???



Find the stamping in this location

The engine code in this pic is D16Z6
Search your engine code in google and you should find a wikipedia link for a page on that engine series. From there you should find what cars came with that engine code.

Engine code and VTEC location D17

It might have a VTEC head or its just the cover. D17a1 is non VTEC and D17a2 is VTEC. It could have been swapped though so look for the engine code and VTEC solenoid. It could also actually be a Ex.

My engine code for the d17a2 is on the right side of my motor on the timing belt cover.
