2008 Civic electric trunk release not functioning
2008 Civic electric trunk release not functioning
2008 civic.. the remote release used to work.. however not any more.. i replaced the hatch release and tested the wiring to the actuator, no voltage coming from the vehicle.
i hear the relay click under the dash when i hit the release button on the FOB but again.. no voltage to the actuator.. is there a fuse in line i need to look at and or what fuse in the fuse panel covers this ??
Thank you ... Mark

Power locks and trunk are controlled by the micu and that's built into the drivers side fusebox. Find and check Fuse 25
Looks to me the relay you hear click is also built into the micu. And it's trying to work.
You said no power at the trunk latch. so next step is
Follow the wire bundle to the trunk lid hinge area, it could have wire(s) broken due to flexing every time the trunklid is opened
Next I'd probably want to do voltage check at the front end of that wire right at the fusebox would be ideal. if possible lol
... SOMEwhere among the many harnesses connected to the fusebox.
Find the correct plug and wire. You can check for a voltage or you could unplug the harness from the box and jumper 12v to the trunk solenoid wire, it should click, Verifies wire is connected to the solenoid and it can operate.
