Steering rack mounting bolts need to be tightened

My steering rack gearbox mounting bolts need to be tightened on my 2008 LX Sedan Auto Transmission. Can anyone direct me to a video or photos of the bolts and where they are located? I don't exactly know how to access them. I've attached the Honda TSB #09-028, but videos/photos would be very helpful. I checked forums and all photos are too old to open. Thanks!

Are they that easily accessible? Do you know which ones to tighten? Any instructions on how to get to the bolts and which bolts to tighten would be helpful.

Did you not read that pdf you attached? It shows you exactly what to do.

Re: Steering rack mounting bolts need to be tightened

Could you point out where it shows how to access the bolts? The link I attached says to lift the car, and then loosen and retighten the bolts. Do I search under the hood and under the car for the six bolts? The black and white images don't show where on the car these bolts are located? Do I need to remove the airbox to get to them? Do I just see them when I lay under the car? Can I access them through the wheel wells on both sides?

I'm sorry I asked for help. I've read other forums and someone posted photos... only the photos, now, are too old to view/open. I've searched the internet and haven't found anything besides the black and white images on the TSB. Even Youtube videos of people installing new steering racks are not helpful.

Re: Steering rack mounting bolts need to be tightened

I was actually just able to find a photo online that was helpful. Someone on ebay is selling a steering rack and they posted a photo of it in the car! So now my question is... what's the best way to reach the bolts? I read the TSB and didn't see how to access the bolts. The photos show the car with no engine, so obviously accessing the bolts is going to be trickier on my car, which has an engine. Should I go from under the car and just reach up? Should I access them by removing the wheels and reaching from the wheel well? Can I reach them from under the hood? I didn't see anywhere on the TSB but maybe I missed that part. Thanks

have you lifted the car to see it?
if by this time you did not do even that, you better off taking to a shop

Re: Steering rack mounting bolts need to be tightened

I took the gearbox out and looked. I layed under the car and looked. I looked for something that looked like the black and white image in the TSB. But I was not sure what I was looking for. Now that I have found a photo of one for sale on Ebay (THAT ACTUALLY SHOWS IT STILL IN THE VEHICLE!!), I saved the photo, and I'll re check under the car to see if I can tell where the bolts are. I searched and searched months ago for a photo, and this ebay photo is the first photo that might be of help. Now that I know what I'm looking for, I'll re check under the hood and from under the car to see if I can find the bolts.

I was hoping someone might have some photos/videos of these bolts and how to access them, but I guess no one does. I'll figure it out. Sorry to bother everyone.

Re: Steering rack mounting bolts need to be tightened

Get the car jacked up, get the hood open, take a look, and figure it out. A super long 1/2" extension will be probably be useful.
