Re: 8th gen trans

Will it go into gear but the clutch won’t engage? Or does it physically refuse to shift out of the neutral position?

Re: 8th gen trans

Along with that, will it go in gear while the engine is off but not when the engine is on?

While it is running it will not come out of neutral and it does go into gear when the engine is off

Re: 8th gen trans

These cars are a pain to bleed. Get a helper or a power bleeder/fluid extractor

Re: 8th gen trans

Not necessarily, get someone to watch the clutch fork while you press the pedal. You probably won't see it move the full amount of travel

Re: 8th gen trans

I believe the clutch pedal is adjustable on the 8th gen. Since you replaced the clutch you may have to adjust the pedal.

Re: 8th gen trans

Does anyone know how much the clutch fork is supposed to move because I put a stage 2 in my car and the old clutch wasn't bad when I took it out but the clutch was slipping so I'm thinking my cmc is going bad and maybe just not allowing the slave to fully disengage my clutch the car has 290k miles and I'm pretty sure the cmc has never been replaced but when we bleed it the pedal is stiff but the fluid is black
