5th gear problems

5th gear problems I have a 95 civic ex that has been sitting for 3 years. Done a complete tune up and replaced some parts.
I cant get it into 5th gear. When I try to shift into 5th, it feels like it went in but when letting out of the clutch it grinds and pops out. It's only 5th gear that has this problem. Trans fluid isn't low.
I have a few ideas: synchro, clutch, tranny
I'm not trying to shell out a lot of money by guess and check. I took it to an auto shop and they said it was probably the shifter rod and bushing. Replaced them and still the same problem.

and I would like to feel like this 
driving back to school. I don't want to drive it without 5th because the speed limit is 70mph on the way and I don't want to mess anything up with the car revving so high.
