07 civic crank no start

Hey, so to sum up my problem, this past friday i had trouble starting my car but eventually it started up no problem, later that day i had an issue again with the car starting my temperature gauge never read anything over half when the car was turned off, but when i went to start it up it showed my car was running hot, now my car will crank but not start, there is a buzz sound coming from near where my left foot sits if key is slowly turned over, checked exhaust smells like gasoline and it does so it doesn't seem to be a fuel issue, I've seen a lot of videos about problems similar to mine but cant find anything that is exactly the same as mine, hoping to find some help here

Check for any loose electrical connections first. How old is the battery?

Any loss of coolant? Coolant could be leaking into the cylinders via a cracked block or blown head gasket: https://community.cartalk.com/t/like...locks/120900/7 I hope that's not the issue. Check both the radiator and reservoir (when engine is cold) if it has a cap for both.

Also battery is good just not getting juice pumped back into it bc of it just sitting and cranking and not running.

Re: 07 civic crank no start

its a slight loss of coolant but its not leaking into the cylinders its leaking onto the ground so theres no issue there, found out its something with the distributor (at least i hope thats all the issue is)

Re: 07 civic crank no start

There hasn't been a distributor on a civic since 2000.......
There's a coil on top of each spark plug, if all 4 have suddenly stopped working, I would recheck the fuses maybe you missed one or didn't check them properly. No check engine light?

Re: 07 civic crank no start

Does the check engine light work? (Comes on when you turn the key to ignition)
I'm assuming it does, that's why I'm thinking fuse, the coil pack have wires that go to the ecu and the fuse box, may want to check for damaged wires too

If coolant is leaking onto the ground that you can see then that is an issue. Low coolant can lead to overheating which can lead to blown headgasket. If that generation of Civic employs a closed coolant system (no radiator cap, only reservoir cap) then it should rarely, if ever need additional coolant if all parts are in working order.

The most common symptom of coolant loss in cylinders (internal leak) is coolant loss without an external leak. Also, hard starts (due to wet/coolant on spark plug) when engine is cold (especially sitting overnight) because the expansion and contraction of the block and/or head is there is a crack will leak coolant into the cylinder(s) when it the engine cools off after operating temp, and then (cracks) seals itself at operating temp. If the leak is bad enough into a cylinder there may be white smoke from the exhaust at cold start and a smell of coolant coming from exhaust. You stated no-spark is the current issue so I just listed the above for reference.

Re: 07 civic crank no start

changed spark plugs and cleaned coil packs and now there's spark, so improving car cranks but wont turnover hoping to be able to jump it and hope it starts up, tried checking the fuses but have no idea which ones to check so gotta do some research any pointers for that would be fantastic

Did you check to see if the battery had enough voltage?
