Rep Power: 0 2006 Civic EX - Oil in Spark Plug Tube
First time posting here. Son's 2006 EX CEL came on - P0302 Cylinder 2 misfire. Pulled the ignition coil from cylinder 2 and found a pool of oil at the bottom of the tube. The rubber end of the coil was loose at the bottom of the tube. So ignition coil certainly bad but what would cause the oil to pool up at the bottom of the spark plug tube?
Noticed after researching this was an issue with the earlier model Civics but not on the 8th generation.
Any help or guidance would be appreciated.
Thanks!

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one
Re: 2006 Civic EX - Oil in Spark Plug Tube
Engine oil can't get into the plug tube on the 1.8 Liter R engine via valve cover gasket, it's location is not even close.
Loose spark plug might let combustion gases seep past the threads and accumulate soot and moisture in the tube
