Unhappy Dashboard woes

Happened quite a while back...while installing my headunit, i left an ambipur car freshener on the dash...it tripped and spilled bit of the liquid freshener on the dash ...so i quickly wiped it but it left some obvious 'gloss' mark on the dash...i tried everything to remove it but to no avail...and i dont wanna make it worse...i've tried armorall to even nail polish remover..no luck

Anyone can recommend me a dash board cleaner that might work? Would really appreciate any help

Cheers

Most likely it will not recover, if the material is damaged it will be won't come out

Is there any way to cover it somehow ??

Well it's not 'damaged' in that sense, but it's just shinier which really bugs me :P

have you tried dish or hand soap?

use sponge to remove that residue....and then, clean with water..

try some mineral spirits or laquer thinner. As with any other product, try it on a hidden spot to make sure it doesnt cause more damage than good. If its ok, then one of those should get it off.

Tried nail polish remover at the beginning but I think it made it even more obvious :P
Soap helped a little (duh, shld have thought of that earlier!) so i soaped the whole dash and re-armoralled everything...not too bad but still a little obvious..thanx soooo much for all the suggests

Just gotta stop thinkin about the spot and maybe the pain will go away...sigh
