1998 Honda Civic 4 door

We all know that the Chilton and Haynes Repair Manuals which we as the general public purchase, usually are rather less detailed, poor coverage and rarely complete in the Chassis / Interior Electrical Chapter(s).

The Interior Dashboard Climate Control buttons cannot be read at night in the Honda Civic in which I am working with.
The Climate Control Button's themselves individually do illuminate when depressed however, the overall dash view in this area is not seen at night - I believe their is a Vanity Interior Dashboard Light Bulb or Other that is not working.

Anyone familiar with this area of the Dashboard ???

All fuses good?
Parking lights work?

Dial the dash light dimmer control up and down, do the gauge lights get dim and bright?

Most of the individual dash switches have an illumination bulb that should also be controlled by that dimmer, maybe they are all burned out?

Hello Again -

Yes, The Interior Dash Light Dimmer Control does work !
The individual Interior Temperature Air Direction ( vents, floor, defrost, etc. ) Buttons do illuminate either when depressed or always - can't recall at present.

What disturbs me the most is that the owner / driver can't see at night that area of the dashboard at all , to make other Interior Temp Control selections.

Any suggestions ?
