I was wondering if you guys had any good tips on cleaning old disgusting yellow headlights. Will i need to pop out the lights and put them in the oven to remove the lens and clean the inside? Or can I just clean the outside with some polish to make them look better? Any tips?

Depends if the yellowing is in the outside or inside. I use Poorboy's Polish with Carnuba or SSR1 to remove outside blemishing.

I just bought some I believe Blue Magic plastic and fiberglass cleaner from autozone to see if I can get any results from cleaning the outside with it.

Um I thought yellow means the plastic is damaged from the sun. I don't think there's a way to fix that. Should always wax new lights to protect from the sun.

u need to buff them out. find some 4' pads . they will work well with any drill. and u can use pb's ssr1 or pp

Hey rice you mean I need to get a buffer and buff the outside? And do you think this plastic polish could work with just a rag and some elbow grease?

it might work if you rub it for a while. Try sanding it also if you cant get it all out. Use 1500 grit

Then use this to restore optical clarity.

Thanks alot meg's, I looked for some type of plastic cleaning solution by meguiars at my local autozone because I have always been loyal to meguiars for all of my waxing needs. But all I came out with was a plastic glaze of a different brand so it looks like I'll be wetsanding and/or using metal polish because I have heard that works.
