Overheating 2004 Civic
Overheating 2004 Civic
I have a 2004 Civic ex coupe auto, so maybe 2 weeks ago I noticed my engine was running a lil hot so waited for the engine to cool down checked my coolant. A little low so I decided to add some but I added WAY too much and ever since I've been having problem with my temperature gauge would flucuflue usually just when I'm in idle. I've noticed if I'm going a little slower it'll heat up but then when I give it some gas it'll go down and I've seen it overflowing and bubbling.

Re: Overheating 2004 Civic
It COULD be a radiator cap, radiator, or overflow hose problem causing the system to not pull liquid out of the reservoir as the engine cools down.
But 98% of the time it's a blown head gasket.
Second video in the linked thread offers proof positive on this particular failure. Most other checks people think of just won't find the problem.
